Respondents Information:
1.Female, 23, Office Worker
2.Female, 23, Student
3.Female, 25, Office Worker(Internet relevant)
4.Male, 22, Student
5.Male, 23, Office Worker
Results:
1. There is no clear explanation to users regarding voice privacy issues.
2. Users think that the app lacks freedom during use and cannot choose the voiceprint detection mode or music playing mode.
3.Music recommendation lacks personalised function.
4.When the mood detect result does not meet the user's situation, there is no re-detect function.
5.When the played music does not improve users' mood or makes users dislike, the function of fast feedback is missing.
6. No personal setting function of the app.
7. No error reporting.
8. Users do not understand the voiceprint detection function.
9. The app does not have a prompt function and cannot feedback the results to the user in time.
10. Without sufficient help tips or captions, users cannot quickly understand each feature.
11. No secondary confirmation function.
The advantages of Prototype 1.0 :
1. The interface is simple and there is no redundant information.
2. The design of the button icon is intuitive and conforms to users' habits, and does not require users to guess the function of the button.
Problems in Test 1.0:
1.The sample size of respondents is small. Due to time and manpower constraints, we only interviewed 5 users.
2. The diversity of respondents is insufficient. The respondents' age group is concentrated in 22-25 years old and lacks feedback from other age groups such as teenagers and elderly users.
3. No accessibility and sustainability evaluation.
Prototype 2.0:
1. Add three initial boot interfaces before the initialisation page.
Separately:
-
Introduce the voiceprint technology used by the app. The App only needs to obtain users voiceprint feature to detect emotional changes, and will record any voice content. After asking the user whether to accept and confirm this, proceed to the next page.
-
Add a description of the usage environment. Explain to the user that the voiceprint recognition technology adopted by the app can identify the bound user's voiceprint in a complex voice environment, so in a multi-person voice environment, the app can only recognise the user's voiceprint and detect moods fluctuation.
-
Add the voiceprint detection mode setting. Users can choose to perform voiceprint detection only when using the app, or always use voiceprint detection.
2.Redesign the voiceprint detection and mood detect results interface. Add a "Re-detect" button and add the corresponding text description. This feature allows the user to re-detect when an unsatisfactory mood test result shows up.
3. Redesign the music player interface. Add three functions:
Change the auto/manual player mode. When you click this button for the first time, a function description will pop up. The auto play mode automatically plays the corresponding music after detecting the mood fluctuations. Manual play mode requires the user to select whether to play.
Add "helpful" and "unhelpful" buttons, users can directly feedback their feelings through the button when listening to music. The app will optimise the music recommendation algorithm through user feedback.
Add the "Import External Song List" button. Users can use this button to import data from other music apps. This feature will optimise the user's personalised experience.
4. Modify the account interface and add the "Settings" option. In the settings options, the user can change the voiceprint detection mode and music player mode; change personal account information; clear and reset voiceprint data.
5. Add a "Privacy Policy" button to the Accounts and Settings interface. Users can see the privacy agreement and statement here.
6. Add a "Technical Support" button to the Accounts and Settings interface. Users can view the detailed information of the voiceprint detection technology here; and can quickly feedback to the technical team through this button after the user encounters that the voiceprint cannot be detected normally and the emotional detection results are incorrect.
7. Add an error report button. In case of any problems, users can give feedback to the design team via this button.
8. Add a hint feature. When users are in the manual music play mode, the app will pop up a window prompt and sound or vibrate alert (settable) to ask if the user want to play music after detecting the mood result.
9. Add more text descriptions. When the button is clicked for the first time, the button will pop up the corresponding text description window.
